You know New Haven -- sometimes parking is not easy. Anyone with difficulty walking should be dropped off in the lobby while the driver finds a place to park. If you call us, we can come downstairs to help. And we make house-calls when the need arises or the client is frail.

PARKING OPTIONS (in addition to on-street parking)
CONNECTICUT FINANCIAL CENTER - probably closest. If you are coming down Elm, look for the entrance on the RIGHT (after Key Bank), BEFORE you see the Kebabian sign. You will have a short walk through the garage. Upon entering, take first right into Lane 2. After parking, take the elevator to "B" and follow the signs to Key Bank. Take next set of elevators to the Lobby. You will emerge onto the corner of Church and Elm. Turn right, then right on Elm. You can cross at Orange or at Elm. There is another exit further down Church near Bank of America -- so if you exit there, you'll turn right on Church, and walk a bit further to get to Elm. P.S. - inside the garage is subject to change, please update us if this part isn't still correct! As of 8/2022, cost is $2 first 30 minutes, $1.50 each additional 30 minutes. 1 block.
ELM / ORANGE city lot -- this is a (small) open lot near the corner of Elm and Orange on the RIGHT after you cross Orange Street. You need a credit card as there is no attendant. As of 8/2022: $2 first 30 minutes, after that $4 per hour. 1/2 block.
360 STATE STREET -- the entrance is on STATE so you could continue down Elm, turn right on State, the entrance (Pitkin Tunnel) is near Chapel. If you shop at Elm City Market they will validate one hour. $3 first hour, $2 each additional. Pick up a baguette on your way home. When you exit on Chapel, turn right, then go right on Orange and 2 more blocks to Elm - total 3.
ORANGE and GEORGE lot -- for those who like to walk and want to explore a little -- you can get there via State Street (then the third or fourth right, turn right on George) or if taking I-91 just take the downtown exit, then right at the light onto Orange, and then there are two entrances, one between the parked cars, on Orange, or (the one I use) if you take the right at the next light onto George, at the left near the empty attendant station. $1 per hour, plus a "convenience charge." You pay with an app on your phone. The lot is across the street from Lazeez Indian restaurant and Hunan House Chinese. Miso (Japanese) is down the street, and on your way to our office you also pass Pho Thai. a Thai/Vietnamese restaurant, and you get to use a pedestrian walkway with outside dining, a plant store, and a store dedicated to board games. The walk is 4 blocks along Orange Street, behind City Hall.
AUDUBON COURT (LAZ) -- if coming from I-91 south, you can take the Trumbull Street exit, turn left on Orange, and go in using the side entrance on the right, just after you pass Audubon. (You exit onto Audubon Street entrance -- you can't enter through that entrance unless coming from the opposite direction.) $0.75 per half hour up to 2 hours (i.e., $2.25 for 1.5 hours). For 2 hours, $4.25. For 3, $5.10. Go figure. Then exit onto Orange Street (although it says no pedestrians! so be careful!) and walk 2 and 1/2 blocks south to Elm Street.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From I-91
Take Exit 3, Trumbull Street. Get in the left lane and proceed to the traffic light at the end of the exit at Orange Street. Then:
If parking in Connecticut Financial Center, go left on Orange Street, then take the second right (first light) onto Grove Street. At the second light, take a left onto Temple Street. At the first light take a left onto Elm Street staying to the right-hand side. Pass Church Street (first light) and take a right under the Key Bank Building (195 Church, on the corner of Church & Elm).
If parking on the street, at Audubon Court, or Elm/Orange garage, or 360 State - just take the left onto Orange Street, then left on Elm if going that far, and right on State if going further.
If parking at Orange/George, you could do that -- at the end of State Street turn right on George. OR just take Exit 1, then take the Orange Street exit and the garage is a block away on George.
From I-95 (North Bound or South Bound)
Option 1: Switch to I-91 and follow directions above.
Option 2: Take the downtown exit 1, continue until Church Street (second light). Then continue until Elm and go right on Elm for the first batch of parking options (except for Audubon Court, forget that one). If taking the Orange/George parking option, you would instead take the Orange Street exit as above.
From Whitney Avenue heading South
Head all the way downtown; Whitney takes a fork, and you can't continue on Church, so instead, you will be on Temple Street. Turn left on Elm Street, see above. If you wanted Audubon Court garage you could have to take a left earlier, say Edwards Street or Trumbull Street, and then turn right on Orange instead.
From Whalley Avenue:
Keep heading downtown as Whalley becomes Elm Street and you pass the New Haven Green. Skip Audubon garage and continue on Elm for the options above.
From Route 34:
Instead of right on Church or orange you'll be taking the left onto Church or Orange, otherwise as above.
